May, 1st 2021– ASC welcomes both Jeffery Jordan & Gilbert Self to the team. Jeffery will be managing the Iowa and Nebraska region starting May 1st and Gilbert will be working in Alabama & Tennessee region with Danny Ray Edmunds, who will be retiring July 1st, 2021 .

February, 1st 2021– ASC welcomes Jon Dreckman to the team. He is a seasoned account management professional with over 20 years’ experience. He will be managing the Iowa and Nebraska region subsequent to Wayne Lippman’s retirement December 31, 2020.

January, 1st 2021– Justin Toal will be handling the Missouri territory responsibilities. He has been with our team for 12 years and has extensive knowledge of materials used in industrial maintenance. Missouri was previously handled by Wayne Lippman who retired December 31, 2020.

December 18, 2020– It is not often that an organization can acknowledge someone that has spent nearly a lifetime with one company. Today, Associated Steel has this incredible honor. After 54 years, our respected Wayne Lippman, has decided to retire. For over five decades, Wayne has developed such strong relationships with his customers that they were like family to him. His attention to detail and dedication to his customers’ interests came first. We admire Wayne for all that he has accomplished. We wish him the very best during his well-deserved retirement!

October 1, 2020– Kellie Reed has joined Associated Steel as the new National Sales Manager. She has worked for many years in industrial related sales. We are excited to welcome her to our team.

Sep, 26th 2018- Associated Steel Corporation would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Debbie Peterson on her recent new position as General Manager. Debbie has been with the company for nearly 30 years. Debbie started in Accounting which eventually led her to assume responsibilities in Purchasing. From there, she moved on to become in charge of Operations. Debbie’s extensive knowledge of the company, its products and customers makes her the ideal choice for this position and where the company is heading into the future.

Debbie is also the first female to assume this position in the company’s 80 years of business.

Sep, 25th 2018- Associated Steel Corporation would like to take the opportunity to recognize Frank Kozuch for his 30 years of sales, technical support and customer service. Frank is an integral part of the company’s on-going growth and success. Frank is responsible for our Special Services Department which entails fabrication and machining services. February 1st, 2013 – Associated Steel launches its new and enhanced website.

July 6th, 2011 – Associated Steel has recently added a pre-hardened, high performance die steel called Rhino-Die to its extensive product mix of tool and die steels. Rhino-Die™ offers many key features including excellent impact strength, thermal fatigue resistance-similar to hot work die steels, and is delivered in “pre-hardened” condition with an approximate Rockwell “C” 42 hardness. Field applications include zinc dies, extrusion dies, and aluminum die cast molds.

June 1st, 2011 – Associated Steel has recently added lean duplex stainless in the form of sheets, plates, strips and high definition plasma custom cut shapes to its product mix.

December 7th, 2010 – American Stainless News Associated Steel has added LDX 2101 lean duplex shafting from Outokumpu to their product line of alloy and stainless steel shafting. This lean duplex grade offers better corrosion resistance and greater mechanical strength than the traditional austenitic stainless grades, including 304L and 316L. Elevated properties can be achieved without relying on costly alloying elements such as nickel. The shafting comes in two surface finishes and tolerances, long bar lengths, guaranteed bearing fit, and fine turned “oversize” under the trade name ASC2250LDX. Associated Steel is a privately owned steel service center in Ohio, specializing in alloy and stainless materials for the heavy industrial maintenance market.

December 2008USDA Certification – ASC2250® LDX has recently received USDA approval for Dairy processing, (3-A format for sanitary and practice standards.) National Sanitation Foundation – ASC2250® LDX has recently received certificate of approval for drinking water processing.

March 2008 – Company celebrates 70 years of service.

October 2007 – New grade of stainless steel introduced; ASC2250® LDX – lean duplex stainless steel shafting.

August 2007 – Installed new high-speed, high definition plasma cutter for wear plate products.

January 2006 – Additional wear plate capacity introduced; up to 3″ thick available.

October 2005 – Acquisition of Ludlow Steel Company.

June 2005 – New 36,000 square foot plant addition in Cleveland. New crane capacity = 10 tons.
